Charlottesville Waldorf School
Little Green Classroom Building
Charlottesville, VA
CLIENT: Artisan Construction
PROJECT GOAL
The Charlottesville Waldorf School has hired Artisan Construction to build a new classroom building dubbed “Little Green”. In concert with Waldorf educational philosophy, the building was designed to celebrate the natural environment. The project was constructed on a strict timeline and budget. The building is targeting LEED silver under USGBC’s LEED ratings system.
SOLUTION
Staengl Engineering provided Commissioning and Energy modeling for the project. The building will use ~30% less energy then a code baseline building.
TESTIMONIAL
“Mr. Staengl’s input before and during the Little Green project enabled us to identify solutions that were straightforward, efficient and very cost effective. This design-build project started with a very tight schedule and budget.
With Mr. Staengl’s advice we were able to keep the project moving along and on budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.”
