| Dovetail Construction Inc.
renovated a former electric railway car barn for their
new office and warehouse space. The Historic renovation
achieved LEED Platinum level certification,
and is on track to achieve Net Zero energy use.

This project was built as a "building within
a building". The interior office building has
a high efficiency building envelope, with walls from
R25-R40, and R40-R50 ceilings. A high efficiency LED
lights system was installed in the office and warehouse
spaces. Heating and cooling is provided by a high
efficiency ground source heat pumps system, which
variable speed loop water pumping. A dedicated ventilation
air system allows further efficiency and energy recovery,
while providing excellent indoor air quality.
